His skilled repair and upgrade of my lightning damaged (yes it was surge-protected) "gaming" laptop has made it better than ever. The repair and upgrade turned out to be more difficult on my older laptop, yet both units were completed in a timely manner for parts plus the flat labor rate quoted - what a bargain! He has my thanks, my referrals and all my future business.

I googled "where is the best place in Cuyahoga Falls to have your computer repaired" and John's company was at the top of the list and after reading the reviews I took my laptop there. He fixed it that day so I took a second laptop and he fixed that also. John is very knowledgeable in his work and is reasonably priced. I would encourage anyone in need of a computer repair shop to go there.
I had a rash of multiple hard drive failures at the end of 2021 and needed the expertise of a data recovery professional. Then my main home, all in one computer crashed. After the obligatory Google searches for local repair of which the first person I took it to declined the work, I asked my data recovery guy for a recommendation. His first suggestion was VeliComp, who came with high praise and he had years of familiarity with their work. I felt like I was getting insider knowledge, it's like asking your personal physician or mechanic for a specialist that they would use. This is not the Geek Squad. This is not a corporate chain. This is the real deal, one on one service from a shop that communicates, diagnoses in very short order and gives solution options. After making personal arrangements to drop off I arrived at the shop and could immediately see I made the right decision and this was the place. You can see real work is done here and not farmed out. Within two days of drop off I received an update it was looking like a motherboard issue. The next day I was given confirmation of the issue, a very affordable quote for part/labor, and that a replacement part was located (1 available and in China!) and the expected time to ship/receive is 20 days. Ugh! Subsequently, VeliComp was able to find an expedited shipping option which I approved and two weeks later I picked up my repaired baby! Ten days later they personally followed up to check-in! GREAT SHOP, GREAT SERVICE, LOOK NO FURTHER, GO HERE!!!! CUSTOMER FOR LIFE.
It was a holiday, the apple store couldn’t fix my computer. I found this computer repair shop and was amazed at how thorough of a job they did checking every part, fixing the issue, found cost-effective replacement parts. Then they ran tests and checked the computer to make sure nothing else would be an issue. It’s great to find and have a super honest and reliable place to take your equipment to!
If I could give John at Velicomp a 10 rating, I would do so. I took my machine to a repair shop, and they couldn't fix my problem. Through his knowledge and perseverance, not only was John able to fix my problem, but he completely restored my machine to where it was before my problem occurred. I highly recommend Velicomp to repair your computer.
As a law student, I need my laptop on a daily basis. I came to velicomp with a laptop that didn't work, explained the importance of getting it back quickly, and within 18 hours, had a working laptop. Prices might look a little high, but accurately reflect the value of exceptional service.
Recommend. I took in an older laptop to get repaired. About five days later my laptop was ready to pick up. Prices are reasonable. I would go back!

John at VeliComp 👨🏻💻 did an outstanding job ✅ repairing a laptop and a desktop of mine (both gaming). One wouldn’t boot at all: 😱 the horror! my own personal Halloween 👻 - tis the season, after all. And, the other was struggling: frequent blue screen, apps wouldn’t launch, slow 😩
Now, the desktop runs better than ever and the laptop is still in the fight 💪🏻 😎 as close to new as it can get (at 10 years old 👴🏻). Not to mention all my files are right where I left them! 😮💨🙏🏻 What a relief all around.
In the past, I went to another place across town for my computer repairs (unfortunately 😵💫😂). Thank goodness, John blows the other place out of the water on value and quality 🏅 The other place was a bit overpriced and the repair didn’t last. I've had mixed experience with computer repair businesses. There are some who fix computers by replacing parts until they work again. This is NOT one of those shops. John is careful and competent, and actually tests parts to zero in on the problem. His price is very fair. He is fast and communicates well. I highly recommend this repair business.
